Theme Support Settings Icons and Boxes on Homepage

edited January 2015 in Corpbiz
I only want to have ONE theme support setting icon, heading and box on the homepage. When I do not enter anything in the 1st and 3rd sections, there is still a white clear box that appears on the homepage. Please can you help me remove these two boxes?

  • Hi

To remove the left right two boxes , Like the snap shot  given below in attachment . For this follow the given below instruction .

    Step 1

1 Create a index-help-support.php file in your child theme directory .

2 Copy the code from index-help-support.txt( which is given below in the attachment ) and past it into the index-help-support.php file of your child theme directory.

    Step 2
Then go to  Option Panel << Find the custom css filed and copy past the below css code into this .

    #help_support {display :none;}

Let me know for any confusion .

  • How do I create a index-help-support fole in a child theme directory? I dont know what a child theme directory is?

Can I not just enter a code in the css field to remove the boxes?

  • You only need one box in the front page help section write?
  • Hi @webmasteragu

To create a child theme  follow this link

If you are  unable  to create the child you can directly replace the code  of index-help-support.txt

with the code  of index-help-support.php of your parent theme directly .

Let know me know for any confusion.

    Did your issue resolve ?

  • Hi
I am unable to create a child theme still.
And I do not understand what you mean by replacing the index-help-support-txt on my parent theme directly.
Please can you provide step by step, if possible?

    Thank you for your help,
