This message is for anyone who changed slider images that didn't show up on blog page.

This message is for anyone who has changed images in their slider and has successfully kept them from posting on their blog page

I've gone through the directions 5 times now, and the only way I can keep my slider images from showing up on my blog page is to disable them on my Home page which defeats the purpose.

I'd love to hear from other customers how they made this work.

  • I found the issue kindly edit the file functions.php and change this line of code

    if( $current_options['blog_page_slider_enable'] == false ) {

    to

    if( $current_options['blog_page_slider_enable'] == 0 ) {
  • I have no idea how to find this let lone how to do this.
  • Hi

    Download the wp-editor plugin from this link .
    Activate this plugin and then go to

    Appearance << Theme editor tab and then at the right side of window you will find the function.php file .

    Click on this and find the below line of code on line no 198 and 208

    if( $current_options['blog_page_slider_enable'] == false ) {

    And change it to

    if( $current_options['blog_page_slider_enable'] == 0 ) {

    Let me know for further assistance .

    Thanks
  • Hi srose95,

    Please open your theme folder.

    1. find functions.php file in theme folder and open it in notepad.
    2. download attachment file and copy all contents.
    3. and paste in your functions.php file. then save it.

    Thanks,
    Prakash

  • I'm planning to install the theme update from 1.7.1 to 1.7.3

    Will I still need to do this?
  • No need jus go for it and play with that setting...
  • I don't understand what you mean by no need.

    Do you mean no need to insert code into the .php file because I'm downloading a new theme version?

    Also, what do you mean by play with that setting? In the code, or in the new theme?

    Confused.
  • I mean after uploading new version the setting provided in the customizer to hide post of slider in blog will work as desired.

    Css changes in the custom css boxes will not be affected at all after upgrade.

    Thanks
    Priyanshu
  • Okay. Great. Now I just need to get the theme to install. Do I have to deactivate the 1.7.1 version first before I install 1.7.3?

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    Destination folder already exists. /home2/precitr0/public_html/wp-content/themes/appointment-pro/

    Theme install failed.
